I purchased a bottle of Red Slime Remover from XXXX a couple months ago and WOW - It worked, and it's still working.  There's not a trace of that stuff anywhere in the tank, and there were no side effects like when I used the XXXX-XX.   I have not had any maintenance problems since the Red Slime episode, thank goodness.

After going thru a problem with Red Slime in my 65 I finally broke down and bought some Red Slime Remover. I don't like putting any sort of meds into a tank, but I have to give the remover credit. It wiped out the slime and did no harm to my fish corals or inverts. My tank is mostly Soft Corals with a blastomussa and a cup coral in there, so I can't vouch for any effect it might have on SPS or others. Also it did send my skimmer into overdrive for a few days.
I'm still trying to pinpoint exactly how the slime started in the first place. After wiping it out I haven't seen it come back. Hopefully it stays gone for good.
